Icehotel is located in Jukkasjärvi, in northern Sweden, approximately 200 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle. The property is constructed annually using ice harvested from the nearby Torne River, featuring a design that changes each winter season. Since 1989, the hotel has offered accommodations built entirely of ice and snow during the winter months, alongside a permanent year-round structure called Icehotel 365. Accommodation options are divided into cold and warm rooms. The cold rooms, maintained at sub-zero temperatures, include standard Ice Rooms, individually designed Art Suites, and Deluxe Suites with private amenities. Warm accommodation options consist of traditional hotel rooms and cabins, such as the Arctic Cabin and the Kaamos standard, superior, and deluxe rooms. The facilities include dining options where meals incorporate local ingredients, with some dishes served on plates made of river ice. The property also features an ice bar, an art and design gallery, an ice cinema, and spaces for conferences, events, and weddings.
